Franceschi Park hotel is an unsophisticated but very delightful hotel on the fringe of downtown Cortina. It is a family owned and operated hotel which started out as a pension house during the 1920s. The hotel is one of the favorites in Cortina as it has a very friendly and homey feel owing to its traditional alpine style. Although the hotel gives off a 1980’s vibes due to itsl furnishings and overall appearance, it actually makes the hotel more charming and endearing.
The hotel rooms vary from classic double room, comfort rooms and junior suites. The rooms, except for the junior suite which has a couch and a table, are quite small although each one features French doors onto a balcony. Scout recommends requesting a room facing the western side as the get great views of the mountains (although it can be a little noisy at times as it also faces the road).
Franceschi Park hotel has a small wellness area which features a hot tub, sauna, steam room, massage room and small gym.
One of the highlights of the hotel is the restaurant which is in quite an elegant dining room and features the Franceschi family favorites. There’s also a lovely lounge area where you can relax and hangout after a day of skiing.
Fransceschi Park Hotel offers great value for money. Its amenities and services are more than enough to make your stay comfortable and Scout just loves the family atmosphere and pride they take in their hotel. It’s also super convenient to the Corso Italia and center of Cortina where you can enjoy shopping, eating, and partying.
