Scout’s Top Tips to Save this winter season!
- Be flexible with your travel dates. Checking in a day later or earlier may make all the difference in terms of deals. Travel in January is ideal for Canada and USA with fantastic offers available, or consider February/March for powder days in Japan and fewer crowds
- Avoid the peak NYE dates for best value. Pricing usually drops from January 04/05 onwards. Chinese New Year can be pricey in Japan (and busy on the slopes!). Early Bird Deals usually have blackout dates across NYE/Christmas and President’s Weekend
- Book early! The earlier you book the better value deal you will get (and the accommodation you’re actually looking for!). Deals start to expire from April 30
- Taking multiple trips? The IKON Pass and Epic Pass are exceptional value – Scout can included these in a ski package with further discounts
- Take advantage of flexible cancellation policies. If you’re unsure of travel next season, lean into the better cancellation policies, so you’re not too out of pocket if plans change. This may mean a change of destination, but it gives you some breathing space
- Sign up for the airline emails – trust us, being in the know is the way to go with flights. You’ll be at the forefront of any new deals dropped by the major carriers, and able to jump on those sale fares. Scout can find a ski package to suit any dates you book.
- Consider a stopover! A couple of days in Vancouver, LA, San Francisco, Tokyo or Sapporo are always a fun experience for the family, and the best way to be a little flexible with airfare sales and accommodation deals.
