Backelar Wirt is a modern, 3-star hotel with notably large rooms throughout and quality facilities. The hotel offers both breakfast and dinner in the on-site restaurant and there is a separate bar for enjoying an evening tipple.
Far from being a traditional Austrian style hotel, Backelar Wirt has a more modern mountain feel, with an emphasis on adventure lifestyle. It is certainly simple and feels a more like a town hotel rather than one in a ski village, and it's also popular with groups. However the location and value is hard to go past.
Hotel Backelar Wirt offers guests almost 4-star facilities in that it has a spa area with a sauna, steam room and solarium which is a great place to chill out after a day on the slopes.
Each of the bedrooms is bright and airy with comfortable beds (that can be configured as doubles of twins). Most rooms also have a balcony.
Probably the highlight of a ski vacation at Backelar Wirt is its amazing location in central Soelden. The hotel is situated just 100m from the Gaislachkogl Gondola which is accessible in minutes from the boot room. The team in the boot room and ski rental shop are on hand to help you out with your gear and any questions you may have, then you can hit the powder.
