Fernie Slopeside Lodge, a great hostel style lodge in Fernie, is super convenient and excellent value. It's perfect for hard core skiers who will spend most of their time on the slopes and in the bars. It is nothing fancy - just your standard down-to-earth lodge experience in the heart of the Fernie base area.
The lodge itself has two main room types - standard rooms with two double beds, or family suites with two queens and one queen sofa bed. Each room type has a microwave, refrigerator and tea and coffee making facilities. There is also a larger Alpine Suite, a four-bedroom house with a full kitchen, which is a fantastic option for groups looking for a self-catered ski stay in Fernie, or for families on a budget.
The Lodge has ski-in, ski-out access which is perfect for those who want to be up and on the slopes early each day. Although Fernie Slopeside Lodge is hostel-like in style, it does offer some hotel facilities such as ski storage and laundry services.
It's certainly not fancy, but Fernie Slopeside Lodge is homely and convenient. The staff are friendly and best of all it's amazing value.
