Hotel Cappella is a wonderful five-star alpine hotel located on the slopes of Alta Badia ski resort in the village of Colfosco. The hotel was originally built in 1969 as an "Art Romantic" hotel and was one of the first "Art" hotels in Italy. It's not surprising to see many wonderful artworks and sculptures around the hotel. Hotel Capella has an elegant and traditional atmosphere in the general parts of the hotel, while the rooms and wellness center are more modern alpine in style. Both have been recently renovated.
The hotel offers 47 unique rooms and suites which have all been completely renovated into a modern style. The views from the rooms are spectacular and the furnishings and wood used throughout the rooms give them a warm and welcoming feel. South facing rooms have views of the slopes while north-facing rooms see chalets and mountains.
The facilities at Arthotel Cappella are second-to-none with a spacious spa, state-of-the-art gym, fun children’s play room and wonderful restaurant. The dining room serves up a hearty buffet breakfast each day and the evening’s dinners can comprise of Mediterranean, South Tyrolean and international cuisine. At your request the hotel’s sommelier can pair your dishes with some delightful wines from their cellar to enhance the flavors of both the food and wine.
The wellness center is amazing with new pools, including one huge indoor pool and a wonderful outdoor pool that's right on the ski slopes. There are several saunas and relaxing areas along with a full service spa.
Due to its location right on the slopes and the facilities for kids (games room, kids rooms) Cappella makes a great option for families.
