Le Gai Soleil is a two-star, traditional ski lodge with a friendly atmosphere and fantastic location. Situated a five-seven minute walk from Megeve village and lifts, everything you need is within easy walking distance. The staff are happy to serve breakfast bright and early so you can hit the powder and get in a full day on the slopes.
The hotel underwent recent renovations and the rooms are simply decorated, clean and nice. The rooms at Le Gai Soleil are homely and comfortable with faux fur throws and wooden detailing giving it a cosy atmosphere. Many of the rooms have shared wrap-around balconies for you to enjoy the surrounding views. Most rooms can have twin beds. Those facing the front valley have the best view
Le Gai Soleil has an on-site restaurant which serves up hearty Savoyard specialities such as tartiflette and fondu, perfect for warming up after a day in the mountains. There is a cute bar where you can get drinks in the afternoon and evenings.
While it's possible to walk to the lifts, the hotel runs a shuttle to the Rochebrune cable car from 8-10am.
