Mountainside Palace (otherwise known as MSP) is the perfect pad for those that want to be right in the heart of the action at the Niseko Ski Resort without paying for extra luxuries they won’t need.
Located on the main street of Hirafu they are a stone’s throw from all the restaurants and bars of both upper and lower Hirafu, while only being a 5-minute flat walk from the Ace Family Pair chairlift and ski slopes. It’s also right next to the shuttle stop if you want to go to Hanazono, Niseko Village, Annupuri or Kutchan.
All of the apartments at Mountainside Palace are two-bedroom/two-bathroom with private balconies. They are decorated with simple, yet inoffensive Japanese 90s style of fixtures and furnishings (those with more masculine taste may be put off by the floral bed spreads and pale pink curtains). The kitchens are small but certainly adequate.
The two bedroom deluxe apartments have Mt Yotei Views and are a bit smaller while those in the premium category are larger but have village views and possibly glimpses of the Niseko ski slopes.
There aren’t many other facilities in the building, with just a ski storage room and drying room available for guests to use. There is not reception or concierge.
