SCOUT REVIEW

The New Furano Prince Hotel is a classic ski hotel that’s all about location and convenience. Sitting right at the base of the Furano Zone, it offers true ski-in ski-out access to some of Hokkaido’s best intermediate and advanced runs. This is one of the few large-scale hotels in Furano Ski Resort, offering a full range of facilities that make it especially attractive for families and groups who want everything in one place.

Inside, the hotel leans toward traditional Japanese resort style—functional, clean, and understated. Rooms are comfortable, with large windows framing mountain or forest views. While the décor could use an update, the warmth of service more than makes up for it. You’ll find multiple dining options, from an expansive buffet breakfast to French-inspired fine dining and a cozy sushi bar—perfect after a big day on the mountain.

One of the standout features is the natural hot spring onsen, with indoor and outdoor baths that are ideal for soothing tired ski legs. The in-house ski rental shop, lockers, and ticket counter make logistics simple, and the staff are used to catering for international visitors.

While the New Furano Prince Hotel is located a little outside the main Kitanomine village, there’s a complimentary shuttle into town if you’re craving a change of scenery or want to explore Furano’s local dining scene. The slightly removed location also means it’s quieter and more scenic, surrounded by forest and snowfields.

WHO SHOULD STAY HERE

Ideal for skiers and snowboarders who value ski-in ski-out access, families seeking full-service convenience, and anyone looking for a relaxing onsen experience after days on the slopes.
