A terrific choice if you want to enjoy a fantastic ski vacation with your friends and family, Snowbird Lodge has an amazing location right in the center of Silver Star. It is in the best ski-in ski-out position in Silver Star and is just a few steps away from the village action. You can literally step out of the locker room, put on your skis, and ski off. And at the end of the day, you ski right into the door from one of the main ski runs.
Snowbird Lodge has a variety of high quality condominium type accommodations that can suit your needs. The studio units are fairly small however the one-bedroom to the three-bedroom units are more spacious and have more amenities such as solid maple cabinets, gas fireplaces, granite counter tops, laundry facilities, and fully equipped kitchens with stainless steel appliances. All of the apartments (not the studios) have and a private hot tub on the balcony, some with fantastic views of the mountains and ski slopes. The two-bedroom units may have different configurations; some of the units are made up of an adjoining studio and a one bedroom condo, while others are proper 2-bedroom units (which in Scout’s opinion are a much better choice). The views do vary with some of the units having spectacular valley and slope views while some look out to snow banks or parking lots. There have been reports of noise issues in between connecting rooms particularly in the studio. Scout loves the units located on the 3rd level which feature big balconies.
Snowbird Lodge has special facilities which you will enjoy like a 24-seater movie theater – you can borrow some movies from the movie library and spend hours watching movies (in your own condo or the theatre) if you would rather stay indoors. You can also sweat it out in the fitness gym located right in the lodge. The property also features a kid’s play area, family lounge, ski lockers, and a wax room.
The Snowbird Lodge is not a flashy or fancy but it has a very amazing location, well appointed condos, great facilities and friendly staff.
