Situated right by the slopes, Palliser Lodge is the second biggest lodge in Kicking Horse.
When compared with its sister property Glacier Mountain, Palliser has larger rooms – making this property a good choice if you’re travelling as a group. The standard guest rooms include a kitchenette with microwave, fridge and dishwasher, while the one and two bed condos all have full kitchens with stainless steel appliances. The condos also come with washers, dryers and gas fireplaces.
The rooms and furnishings are simple but comfortable, and there are wooden floorboards throughout the rooms (there’s no carpet). Recently the rooms have been upgraded with flat screen TVs and white quilt covers – giving the rooms a fresh, modern feel.
Condos on the valley side have stunning views – it’s definitely worth requesting one of these because the mountainside rooms are darker and have more of a forest outlook.
The best rooms are unquestionably the two bedroom condos, thanks the fact they come with their own private balcony hot tub that looks out across breathtaking views.
